Nick Brincks won two awards at the 75th annual Intercollegiate Broadcasting System conference for his work at Morningside College’s student radio station, KMSC Fusion 93.

Nick Brincks, a Morningside College student, won two awards at the 75th annual Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS) conference for his work at Morningside College’s student radio station, KMSC Fusion 93.

The award ceremony was held Saturday, March 8, at the IBS conference in New York City.

Brincks, from Carroll, Iowa, won first place in the “Best Station ID” category and was one of four finalists in the “Best Sports Update” category.

The IBS is an organization consisting of over 1,000 non-profit, education-affiliated radio stations. It honors excellence in programming, air personalities, public service efforts and outstanding stations with the annual awards. IBS is a member of the National Association of Broadcasters.
