Morningside College received two awards for best practices in both fundraising and alumni relations recently at the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District VI conference in Denver, Colo.

The district awards recognized exemplary programs, projects and initiatives that serve as models for other institutions. Over 450 institutions applied, and Morningside College was one of only 12 selected to receive awards at the platinum level. This means Morningside will represent the district in national competition later this year.

Morningside College received a silver fundraising award because of its successful fundraising efforts over the last decade. The annual scholarship fund has more than doubled since 2003.

The college received a silver alumni relations award for its many initiatives to engage alumni, such as the new Young Alumni Network, which targets recent graduates, and the new Alumni Chapters Program, which brings together alumni in cities across the country.

CASE supports alumni relations, communications, development and marketing professionals at more than 3,600 educational institutions around the world. District VI represents professionals and institutions in the Midwest region of the United States, including Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming.
