Morningside College professor and students attend conference for English teachers
Christina Triezenberg, assistant professor of English at Morningside College, and two students recently attended the Iowa Council of Teachers of English conference in Johnston, Iowa.
Christina Triezenberg, assistant professor of English at Morningside College, and two students recently attended the Iowa Council of Teachers of English conference in Johnston, Iowa.
Triezenberg attended the conference with Kassidy Hart of Omaha, Neb., and Taylor Van Vliet of Lincoln, Neb. The students are earning degrees at Morningside College to become high school and middle school English teachers.
While at the conference, they participated in a wide range of workshops, presentations and panel discussions and networked with educators from across the state.
Triezenberg joined the Morningside faculty in the fall of 2016. She holds a doctorate in English from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo.
The Iowa Council of Teachers of English facilitates connections and professional learning, face-to-face and online, for English and language arts teachers of all stages.
