Morningside College presents drug trafficking panel discussion on Nov. 15
Law enforcement and social services representatives from the Sioux City area will discuss the local impact of the international drug trade and the war on drugs as part of a “Nacrotrafficking: Global to Local” panel set for 7 p.m. on Nov. 15 in the UPS Auditorium located in Morningside College’s Lincoln Center, 3627 Peters Ave.
Law enforcement and social services representatives from the Sioux City area will discuss the local impact of the international drug trade and the war on drugs as part of a “Nacrotrafficking: Global to Local” panel set for 7 p.m. on Nov. 15 in the UPS Auditorium located in Morningside College’s Lincoln Center, 3627 Peters Ave.
The panel discussion is sponsored by Dr. Gail Ament, professor of Spanish at Morningside, and the Morningside College English and Modern Languages Department. The event is open to the public.
Scheduled to participate in the panel discussion are Stephan Thomas, resident agent in charge for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration; Richard Niles, probation officer for the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Iowa; and Denys Azpeitia, case manager, and Norma Garza-Ramirez, domestic abuse outreach advocate, both with the Council on Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence.
