The Morningside College Music Department will present a jazz concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, in Eppley Auditorium.
The Morningside College Music Department will present a jazz concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave. The event is free and open to the public.
During the concert, the Morningside Jazz Ensemble will perform big band music. The ensemble is directed by Dr. Erik Mahon, assistant professor of music and director of jazz studies at Morningside.
The Morningside Jazz Ensemble also will give a preview performance at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, at The Marquee, 1225 4th St., to open for the Reggie Schive Big Band. There is a cover charge for that performance. It is $5 for adults and $2.50 for students.
