The Morningside College Music Department will present a jazz concert at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, in Eppley Auditorium.
The Morningside College Music Department will present a jazz concert at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave. The event is free and open to the public.
The concert will feature the Eclectix Vocal Jazz Ensemble, the Morningside College Jazz Ensemble and the Morningside Jazz Combo. The directors of the jazz ensembles are Tim Watson and Tony Hutchins.
The jazz band will perform pieces such as “The Quintessence” by Quincy Jones, “Blue Monk” by Thelonious Monk, “Love for Sale” by Cole Porter and “Midnight Voyage” by Joey Calderazzo. The Eclectix Vocal Jazz ensemble will perform pieces such as “Some Nights” by Fun, backed up by the Morningside Jazz Combo, and “Here’s That Rainy Day” by Barduhn.
