Sioux City, IA – The Morningside College Lyric Theatre will present “Trouble in Tahiti,” an opera written by Leonard Bernstein, at 7 p.m. on Friday, February 28 and Saturday, February 29 and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 1 in the Klinger-Neal Theatre on Morningside’s campus. Admission is $10.

 “Trouble in Tahiti” is the story of a day in the life of a desperately unhappy married couple who are lonely, longing for love, and unable to communicate. The cast, comprised of Morningside students, includes:

  • Sam, a businessman- Noah Rubida
  • Dinah, his wife – Olyvia Selby
  • 1st trio member – Katie Pottebaum
  • 2nd trio member – Katelyn Stewart
  • 3rd trio members – Jared Kamrath and Nathan Kitrell

The Morningside College Lyric Theatre provides opportunities for Morningside students to perform in and learn about what it takes to produce operas and musical theatre productions. The Morningside College School of Visual and Performing Arts offers immersive experiences for Morningside students and the Siouxland community to experience the power of music, theatre, and the fine arts.
