The Morningside College Board of Directors elected seven members to new terms during the board’s Oct. 13 meeting on the Morningside campus.

Board members elected to new terms include Chad W. Benson of Cedar Falls, Iowa, a 1990 Morningside graduate and chief operating officer for ACT Holdings, Inc.; Chris E. Benson of Greeley, Colo., a 1994 graduate and head of ground beef and value added for JBS USA; Dr. J. Robert Burkhart of Indianola, Iowa, a 1970 graduate; Dr. Patrick J. Murphy of Birmingham, Ala., a 1997 graduate and the Goodrich Endowed Chair for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham; Tarah A. Nolan of Parker, S.D., a 2009 graduate and owner of Transaction Coordination Services at Keller Williams Realty Sioux Falls; Cory A. Roberts, M.D., of Dallas, Texas, a 1990 graduate and president, chairman and chief executive officer for ProPath Holdings, PLLC; and Richard A. Waller of Dakota Dunes, S.D. 

Craig I. Struve of Okoboji, Iowa, a 1970 Morningside graduate, continues to serve as chair of the Morningside College Board of Directors. Cynthia C. Moser of Sioux City, an attorney and partner with the Heidman Law Firm, serves as board secretary. Brian A. Johnson, a 1983 graduate and financial adviser with Security National Bank in Sioux City, serves as assistant board secretary.

Members named to chair board committees include Bishop Deborah L. Kiesey of Iowa City, Iowa, and a 1973 graduate, Student Life and Learning Committee; Martin B. Palmer, president of Palmer Candy Company in Sioux City, Finance/Facilities and Investment Committee; Connie P. Horton Wimer, chairman of Business Publications Corporation in Des Moines, Iowa, External Relations Committee; and Cynthia C. Moser, Graduate Programs Committee.
