Morningside College will launch the seventh summer season of its Betty Ling Tsang Fine Arts Series with the musical comedy “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” at 7 p.m. on June 6 and 7 in the Buhler Outdoor Performance Center, 3625 Garretson Ave., on the college’s campus.

Other performances on the summer schedule include a Sioux City Symphony Pops Concert on June 28; the children’s musical “Honk!” on July 18 and 19; the children’s performance “Snow White & The Missing Dwarfs” on July 25 and 26; and a musical revue of Stephen Sondheim songs “Putting it Together” on Aug. 8 and 9. All performances are free and open to the public.

The fine arts series is named for the late Betty Ling Tsang, a 1940 Morningside College music graduate. It is designed to bring free, quality music and theatre performances to residents of the Sioux City area. Summer performances take place in the Buhler Outdoor Performance Center on the Morningside campus. Eppley Auditorium is the rain location for summer performances.
