Morningside College and Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, Iowa, have signed an articulation agreement that creates a seamless pathway for Ellsworth students with an associate’s degree to complete a bachelor’s degree through Morningside’s Regina Roth Applied Agricultural and Food Studies Program.

The two colleges have created an academic roadmap that outlines the coursework required for Ellsworth students to complete an associate’s degree and then easily transfer to Morningside to complete a bachelor’s degree in agricultural and food studies or in agricultural education. Each Ellsworth student enrolled in the program will be junior-year ready for transfer to Morningside and on track for graduation their senior year.

“Since the launch of the Regina Roth Applied Agricultural and Food Studies program in 2014, it has become one of our fastest growing majors,” said Morningside President John Reynders. “Students enjoy a personalized education experience that features a wide range of hands-on learning opportunities, including a paid semester-long externship to gain real world work experience with businesses and industries here in Northwest Iowa, around the state and the nation, and even internationally.”

Reynders added that transferring Ellsworth students will receive a financial plan and financial aid award from Morningside, in addition to being assigned a Morningside academic adviser and gaining access to Morningside’s advising and career planning tools.
