The Morningside Choir will go on tour at the end of March, performing in Northwest Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota. The choir will perform in Spirit Lake, Iowa; Sioux Falls, S.D., Papillion, Neb.; and Omaha, Neb.

  • 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 28, at Sami Bedell Center at Spirit Lake High School, 612 28th St., Spirit Lake, Iowa.
  • 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 29, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 909 W. 33rd St., Sioux Falls, S.D.
  • 7 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at Papillion-La Vista South High School Auditorium, 10799 NE-370, Papillion, Neb.
  • 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 31, at First Central Congregational Church, 421 S. 36th St., Omaha, Neb.

The choir will perform music by J.S. Bach, Felix Mendelssohn, Aaron Copland, Stacey V. Gibbs, Elaine Hagenberg and more.

Ryan Person, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities at Morningside College, will direct the performances.

The Morningside Choir is a select 40-voice student ensemble composed of the finest vocalists on the Morningside College campus. The choir has performed extensively in the United States and toured in Europe and Asia.

All of the concerts on the spring tour are free and open to the public.
