Sioux City, IA – Morningside’s Active Minds chapter will present at the Active Minds National Conference held in Washington D.C. from February 21 – 23.

Members of Morningside’s Active Minds student organization aim to reduce the stigma around mental illness by encouraging conversations about mental health and providing educational activities and resources to help students create a supportive and well-informed college community. The group will present two displays at the conference: “Scare Away Stigma” and Leaf Stigma Away.”

Active Minds is a national nonprofit organization supporting mental health awareness and education for students. With 450 student-led chapters throughout the United States, Active Minds is a leader for young adult mental health advocacy and suicide prevention.
