Lorenzo Sandoval will be visiting Morningside to workshop his new play, “Juanito and His Tales.”

Funded in part by the Iowa Arts Council and Gilchrist Foundation, playwright, theatre professional, and Morningside alum Lorenzo Sandoval will be visiting Morningside to workshop his new play, “Juanito and His Tales.” Along with this workshop, Sandoval will be talking to Morningside students about his experience writing professionally, hosting a reading for his new play, and offering performances of “Juanito and His Tales” for the Morningside and Siouxland community.

“Juanito and His Tales” will be performed for third and fourth grade students at Irving Elementary School, Sioux City’s dual-language elementary school, at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 25. Performances of “Juanito and His Tales” will also take place at Morningside’s Klinger-Neal Theatre at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 24 and Friday, March 25. These two performances are free and open to the public.
