Kati Kneifl is the GPAC Women’s Outdoor Track Field Event Athlete of the Week.
Kati Kneifl, a junior from Sheldon, Iowa, is the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Outdoor Track Field Event Athlete of the Week for April 23-29.
Kneifl won the women’s javelin throw at the Drake Relays with a school-record distance of 152-2 for the second longest distance in the NAIA this season. She broke the former Morningside standard of 148-10 set by three-time NAIA All-American Vanessa Warzecha in 2007.
Kneifl reigned over a 19-athlete field that included 13 competitors from NCAA Division I schools.
