Four Mustang tennis players receive academic award
Four Morningside tennis players were named 2017 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Four players from Morningside’s men’s and women’s tennis teams were named 2017 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
The Mustangs’ Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes are:
Danny Graves, a senior from Sioux City, who has a 3.62 cumulative grade point average (GPA) with a major in biology teaching.
Natasha Hongsermeier, a senior from Phillips, Neb., who has a perfect 4.00 cumulative GPA with a triple major in biology, chemistry and music.
Kathryn Jones, a senior from Laramie, Wyo., who has a 3.50 cumulative GPA with majors in music education and music performance.
Cassie Stanek, a senior from Sioux City, who has a 3.93 cumulative GPA with a major in nursing.
Student-athletes must be of at least junior academic status and have a minimum GPA of 3.50 in order to be eligible for Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors.
