Four members from Morningside’s men’s and women’s swimming teams were named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Four members from Morningside College’s men’s and women’s swimming teams were named 2015 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

The Mustangs’ swimming Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes are:

Jamie Fast, a senior from Hastings, Neb., who has a 3.79 cumulative grade point average (GPA) with a major in nursing.

Hannah Hecht, a senior from Lansing, Kan., who has a 3.97 cumulative GPA with a major in English.

Josh Karel, a senior from Lincoln, Neb., who has a 3.97 cumulative GPA with a major in Spanish teaching.

Taylor McCloskey, a senior from Runnells, Iowa, who has a 3.62 cumulative GPA with a major in biology.

Fast, Hecht, and Karel were also Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes last year.

Student-athletes must be of at least junior academic status and have a minimum GPA of 3.50 in order to be eligible for Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors.
