It’s been another exciting year of Morningside Mustang Football. Our fans are an important part of our team and culture. As such, below we have provided information that you may use to be part of the championship game whether you will be at home or traveling to Louisiana.

Morningside Mustangs vs. Marian University Knights
NAIA National Championship Game
Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019
Kick-off Time: 6 p.m. CST
Eddie G. Robinson Stadium – Grambling, LA

The football team will be departing on Tuesday, Dec. 17, to head to Louisiana.
To send them off right, please consider participating by:
  • Wearing your Mustangs gear with pride on Tuesday, Dec. 17!
  • Planning to line the streets of Peters Ave. near Olsen Student Center beginning around 9:20 a.m. Bring signs and come ready to cheer. The buses should pass by around 9:30 a.m.

If you are the parent, family, or loved one of a football player or staff member, please be assured that Morningside will be assisting our players and staff with making the necessary travel arrangements to ensure an excellent championship experience.

Given our task of ensuring the safety, wellness, and travel of our players and staff first and foremost, we are not able to coordinate travel arrangements for anyone outside the team or staff. Family members, friends, and other fans are responsible for making and managing their own travel arrangements. Morningside staff will not be able to assist you outside of the information outlined in this guide, and we request your discretion in contacting staff members to provide you with additional assistance while in Louisiana. Our players and staff need to be focused on the championship game. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Championship Game t-shirts are on their way and will be available through the Morningside Bookstore. We will use social media to announce the arrival of the shirts as soon as they are available.
  • We plan to have championship shirts for sale in Louisiana at the tailgating party (see below).

Please note: At this time, Morningside will NOT be providing any kind of fan or alumni transportation (bus, etc.) from Sioux City to Louisiana. Fans and friends of Morningside will need to be responsible for making their own transportation arrangements to the championship game.
