Morningside finished second in the dance competition at the 2018 GPAC Competitive Cheer & Dance Championships.
Morningside finished as the runner-up behind Midland in the dance competition at the 2018 GPAC Cheer & Dance Championships held Feb. 10 in Hastings, Neb.
The Mustangs had a score of 80.38 to finish second in a field of nine teams. Morningside nudged host Hastings by 0.25 points for second place. Midland scored 88.38 points to win the GPAC title.
Morningside finished fifth in the cheer competition with 57.38 points. Midland also won the cheer title, scoring 66.50 points.
