Taylor Daas and Kristina Neumann were each named to the 2015 Capital One College Division Academic All-District 3 Softball Team as selected by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Their names will go on the ballot for selection of the 2015 Capital One College Division Academic All-America Softball Team.

Daas, a senior second baseman from New Brighton, Minn., has a 3.33 cumulative grade point average (GPA) with majors in elementary education and special education. Daas batted .279 with 10 doubles, one triple, two home runs, and 23 RBIs this season.

Neumann, a junior third baseman from Sioux City, has a 3.81 cumulative GPA with a major in biology. Neumann batted .284 with 10 doubles, one home run, and 21 RBIs this season.

The Mustangs posted a 27-21 record during the 2015 softball season and advanced to the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Tournament Championship Series, where they lost to Concordia University.

Athletes must be of at least sophomore academic status, be a starter or significant reserve, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher to be eligible for Capital One Academic All-America honors.
