Neeia Cooperwood has been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Indoor Field Event Athlete of the Week for Feb. 10-16.
Neeia Cooperwood, a junior from Omaha, Neb., has been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Indoor Field Event Athlete of the Week for Feb. 10-16.
Cooperwood won the long jump at last Saturday’s Dordt College Invitational with a distance of 18-9 1/4.
Aside from her victory in the long jump, Cooperwood also won the 400-meter dash with a school-record time of 57.17 seconds to break her own Morningside standard of 57.88 she set last season.
