Dr. Anne Power, associate professor of business management, and Mary Zink, assistant professor of business, recently gave presentations at the 2017 Assessment Institute in Indianapolis and the Association for Business Communication international conference in Dublin, Ireland.

Dr. Anne Power, associate professor of business management at Morningside College, and Mary Zink, assistant professor of business at Morningside, recently gave presentations at the 2017 Assessment Institute in Indianapolis and the Association for Business Communication international conference in Dublin, Ireland.

Power and Zink gave a presentation in Indianapolis titled “Using Taskstream to Strengthen the Culture of Assessment.” It focused on how a Morningside College program used assessment software to create a stronger commitment to student learning.

They gave a virtual presentation in Dublin on undergraduate business students’ writing skills. It explored the findings of a developmental writing program and its impact on business students’ ability to write proficiently.

Power has been on the Morningside faculty since 2014. She is a former branch manager for U.S. Bank, and she has a doctorate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Zink has a master’s degree from Regis University in Denver, Colo., and she has earned certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources. She has more than 20 years of experience working, consulting and managing in the private and nonprofit sectors.
