Pam Mickelson, professor and chair of business administration at Morningside College, recently helped plan the Collegiate Entrepreneur Organization national conference in Tampa, Fla.
The Collegiate Entrepreneur Organization works to inform, support and inspire college students to be entrepreneurial and seek opportunity through enterprise creation. The organization has over 200 chapters on university campuses in 43 states.
Those who attended the national conference spent three days networking with other students and entrepreneurs while sitting in on presentations from subject matter experts and motivational speakers. Mickelson organized nine breakout sessions at the conference for college chapter leaders to learn best practices.
Mickelson joined the faculty in 1988. At Morningside, she is also the director of the Center for Entrepreneurship Education. She received her doctorate from Oklahoma State University. Mickelson has previously won the Marketing Management Association Meritorious Teaching Award.
