W. Roger Curry, a former Ponca, Neb., area resident and retired president and chief executive officer of Consolidated Freightways, will present a lecture “Integrity: Stories of Honesty and Character” at 7 p.m. April 19 in UPS Auditorium in the Lincoln Center, 3627 Peters Ave., on the Morningside College campus.

Roger Curry, a former Ponca, Neb., area resident and retired president and chief executive officer of Consolidated Freightways, will present a lecture “Integrity: Stories of Honesty and Character” at 7 p.m. April 19 in UPS Auditorium in the Lincoln Center, 3627 Peters Ave., on the Morningside College campus.

Curry’s lecture will focus on personal and business ethics and integrity, using his own experiences with a situation that involved the FBI, bribes, wiretapping and his boss’s son. He also will present the lecture at 10:30 a.m. April 20 in the Yockey Family Community Room in the Olsen Student Center, 3609 Peters Ave.

Curry will live on the Morningside campus April 15-20 as part of the college’s Dimmitt Fellows program and the CEO in Residence program sponsored by the department of business administration and accounting. In addition to his public lectures, Curry also will speak to several business and accounting classes and meet with student groups and faculty.

Curry, a resident of Saratoga, Calif., is a graduate of Ponca High School and Morningside College. He is a former member of the college’s board of directors. Curry worked with Consolidated Freightways for more than 30 years in a variety of executive positions, including leadership roles at two of its subsidiaries: CF Air Freight and Emery Worldwide. At Consolidated Freightways, he was responsible for the operations of a $2.4 billion transportation company with more than 25,000 employees throughout North America.

Curry also has a master’s degree from the University of Nebraska.
