Myla Brown was named the GPAC Women’s Golfer of the Week.
Myla Brown, a sophomore from Sioux Falls, S.D., is the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Golfer of the Week for April 3-9.
Brown carded an 82 to help lead the Mustangs to the team championship at the Nebraska Wesleyan University Spring Invite held April 6 at Holmes Golf Course in Lincoln, Neb. Brown finished in a tie for second place in the individual standings.
The Nebraska Wesleyan Spring Invite was the Mustangs’ fifth tournament championship of the 2016-17 season. Morningside won four tournament crowns during the fall campaign with triumphs at the Briar Cliff University Lila Frommelt Classic, the Northwestern College Red Raider Fall Invite, the College of Saint Mary/Midland University Fall Invite and the GPAC Fall Qualifier.
