Four Morningside bowlers were named scholar-athletes by the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association.
Four members from Morningside College’s men’s and women’s bowling teams were named 2016 Bowling Scholar-Athletes by the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association (NCBCA).
The Mustangs’ scholar-athlete award winners are Alex Eukovich, a sophomore from Berwyn, Ill.; Kyle Kommes, a freshman from Le Mars, Iowa; Austin Naylor, a junior from Wyoming, Mich.; and Sondra Thoreson, a sophomore from Wausau, Wis.
The student-athletes were required to have grade point averages (GPA) of 3.50 or higher in order to receive the award.
