Moriah Bohlmann was named to the first team of the College Division Academic All-America Softball Team.

Moriah Bohlmann, a senior first baseman from Denison, Iowa, was named to the 2017 College Division Academic All-America Softball First Team as selected by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Bohlmann has a 3.95 cumulative grade point average (GPA) with a major in elementary education.

Bohlmann was the Mustangs’ second leading hitter this season with a .356 batting average. She topped the team with 14 doubles, four triples, 46 RBIs and a .586 slugging percentage and ranked second on the team with six home runs.  Bohlmann was one of the Mustangs’ most improved players following a 2016 campaign where she hit .236 with nine RBIs.

Athletes must be of at least sophomore academic status, be a starter or significant reserve, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher to be eligible for CoSIDA Academic All-America honors.
