Morningside College’s women’s soccer program was recognized on the Great Plains Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors, released Tuesday, Oct. 23, for Oct. 15-21.

SIOUX CITY, IOWA – Morningside College’s women’s soccer program was recognized on the Great Plains Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors, released Tuesday, Oct. 23, for Oct. 15-21.

Senior goalkeeper Tristan Beaulieu (Sioux City, Iowa) was tabbed the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Defensive Player of the Week. Continuing a current run of better than 300 scoreless minutes produced by the Mustangs’ back line unit, Beaulieu recorded six saves in two matches and was part of two clean sheets for head coach Tom Maxon’s program in the span. MC (8-6-1 overall, 7-3 GPAC) topped College of Saint Mary 4-0 and Northwestern College 1-0 to jump into a fourth-place tie on the loop standings.
