Morningside women’s golfer Laia Badosa has been named the Great Plains Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week.
Laia Badosa has been named the Great Plains Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week.
Badosa is a freshman at Morningside from Girona, Spain, who tied for the top spot at the GPAC Women’s Golf Fall Qualifier alongside Jade Burr of Dakota Wesleyan. Badosa shot a 78 during the first day of the qualifier and a 72 during day two to finish six under par.
As a team, the Mustang women have had an excellent season with first and second place rankings in all their contests. Badosa has been a consistent player alongside teammates Maria Zorrilla, Sam Knight, and Maria Nava, all of whom have been regularly placing in the top 10 of the individual standings.
