Aurora Arevalo was named the GPAC Women’s Outdoor Field Event Athlete of the Week after she won the heptathlon at the Red Raider Open.
Aurora Arevalo, a sophomore from Lenox, Iowa, is the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Outdoor Field Event Athlete of the Week for April 10-16.
Arevalo won the heptathlon with 4119 points at last week’s Northwestern College Red Raider Open. She led all performers with a time of 26.16 seconds in the 200-meters and distances of 35-5 in the shot put and 113-1 in the javelin. Her score of 4119 points is the 10th highest in the NAIA so far this season.
