Aurora Arevalo and Michelle Mumm received Performance of the Meet awards from last weekend’s Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships by vote of the league’s head coaches.

Arevalo, a junior from Lenox, Iowa, received the GPAC Women’s Field Performance of the Meet award for her victory in the heptathlon. Arevalo scored 4703 points for a victory margin of 215 points over her closest competitor. Her 4703 points is the second highest total in the NAIA this season.

Mumm, a senior from Neola, Iowa, received the GPAC Women’s Track Performance of the Meet award for her victory in the 1500-meters, where she broke the meet record with a time of 4:36.47 to top the former GPAC standard of 4:37.87 by Olivia Johnson of Northwestern College in 2008. Mumm added a second victory in the 800-meters with a time of 2:13.42.
