Sioux Center High School all-stater Jennifer Buyert will join the Mustangs for the 2014 season.
Jennifer Buyert, a 6-2 middle blocker from Sioux Center, Iowa, will enroll at Morningside College this fall and compete for the Mustangs’ women’s volleyball team announced Morningside women’s volleyball head coach Sara Horn.
Buyert is a senior at Sioux Center High School, where she earned second-team Class 3A all-state and first-team Class 3A all-district honors from the Iowa Girls Coaches Association this past season.
Buyert was a major offensive and defensive presence at the net for the Warriors with 283 kills to go along with 68 solo blocks and 32 block assists for averages of 3.14 kills and 1.11 blocks per set. She completed 266 of 293 serve attempts for 90.8 percent with 31 aces and had 60 digs for a norm of 0.67 per contest.
