Mark Abrams is the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Mark Abrams, a junior from Glenwood, Iowa, has been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for his performance at last Friday’s Grand View University Viking Invitational.
Abrams was the individual champion at the meet with a time of 26:09 on the 8k course. He finished first in a field of 77 runners to help the Mustangs repeat as the team champion.
The Mustangs had the top four individual finishers at the meet and finished with 17 points for a 33-point victory margin over NCAA Division I Drake University, the runner-up with 50 points.
Morningside, ranked 14th nationally in the NAIA, will compete at this Saturday’s University of Minnesota Roy Griak Invitational in Falcon Heights, Minn.
