Morningside College is bringing to campus a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. where an actor will talk about King’s life and recreate some of his speeches at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, in the Yockey Family Community Room in the Olsen Student Center, 3609 Peters Ave.

Morningside College is bringing to campus a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. where an actor will talk about King’s life and recreate some of his speeches at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, in the Yockey Family Community Room in the Olsen Student Center, 3609 Peters Ave.

The event is free and open to the public.

Barry Scott has performed King’s speeches for former President Jimmy Carter and in performing arts centers and college campuses across the country.

Scott has a degree in speech communications and theatre from Tennessee State University. He is the founder and artistic director of The American Negro Playwright Theatre in Nashville.
