Homecoming 2020 looks a little different this year, but you can still celebrate all things Mside from the comfort and safety of your home! #StayHomecoming2020

Monday, October 5: Celebrating Athletics - Be sure to check out the latest episode of Down the Mside Line (our athletics podcast) to hear from lots of former Mside basketball players and coaches.

Tuesday, October 6: Celebrating Academics - Check out social media for history and fun facts, and join us Tuesday evening for a "Back to Class" Zoom event with Bruce Forbes (details forthcoming).

Wednesday, October 7: Celebrating Student Life + Arts - New episodes of Professors in Golf Carts Having Conversations, social media fun facts, and a live stream of the campus worship service.

Thursday, October 8: Celebrating Alumni & Friends - Learn more about our new Alumni Showcase feature, and plan to join President John Reynders and his wife Robin for a campus update and a toast to Mside on Thursday night.

Friday, October 9: Celebrating Spirit Day - Wear your Mside gear with pride and share photos on Instagram and Twitter using #MsideProud. In need of some new Mside swag? Click here to order online from the Campus Bookstore.

Saturday, October 10: Rally Day - Watch or listen to a Mside event from home and wear your maroon to show you are #MsideProud.

For more information on changes to this year's Homecoming, read the following information carefully so you can participate in a way that is right for you and those you love. Like you, we will miss many of the homecoming traditions that we'll be unable to enjoy this year; however, we also want to do our part to be responsible and protect our Morningside community.

Football Game: Presently, the homecoming football game vs. Briar Cliff University on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 1:30 p.m. in Elwood Olsen Stadium will be played as scheduled with fans in attendance, as will all other scheduled home athletic events. Guidelines and requirements for fans attending Morningside athletic events will be available in the coming weeks.

Activities for CURRENT STUDENTS: Morningside Activities Council (MAC) will be planning and scheduling on-campus activities for current students. Watch your email and social media for details.

50/60 Reunion & Dinner: The dinner for the Classes of 1970 and 1960 is being postponed with the hope of rescheduling for spring. Individuals who graduated from these classes should watch their mail and email for more information. Morningside will be assembling a memory book for the class that will be mailed out in early October and all members of these classes are asked to consider submitting information through this form.

Virtual Spirit Week, October 5 - 10, 2020: Morningside will be hosting a number of virtual events and offering online activities to enjoy during Homecoming Week 2020. Watch Morningside’s Facebook and Instagram for more information.

The Morningsider: For those who receive The Morningsider, our alumni magazine, you can expect the next edition in early October and will include a homecoming retrospective.

Homecoming In A Box and Mside Gear: The Morningside Bookstore will be offering lots of new merchandise and some special homecoming items. Be sure to check it out.

Taste of Morningside: The Taste of Morningside has been canceled for 2020.

Campus Tours for Alumni & Friends: To limit traffic and visitors, campus tours for alumni and friends will not be available this fall.

M-Club Hall of Fame Induction & Brunch: This event has been canceled for 2020. Individuals to have been inducted into the M-Club Hall of Fame will now be recognized in 2021. Contact Cheryl Gamble with questions.

CODA Legacy Awards & Luncheon: This event has been canceled for 2020. Individuals to have been honored with a CODA Legacy Award will now be recognized in 2021. Contact Heath Weber with questions.
