We are proud to be one of your hometown universities. Additionally, Morningside University is a great value. Though we are a private university, Morningside offers scholarships and grants that allow us to be as affordable or more affordable than state colleges and universities.

To ensure that Morningside can be a top choice for Denison students like you, we are rolling out a new program. The Denison to Mside U Scholars program provides you with an award that is comparable to the financial awards typically available to Pell-eligible Iowa residents who are considering a public in-state college or university.

Here are just a few of the ways that Morningside is a wise investment

The Morningside XP Guarantee guarantees new undergraduate students and their family the following:
- You will earn your degree in four years or less.
- You will gain employment or acceptance to grad school within six months of graduation.
- You will have active, experiential learning opportunities that will help you grow and prepare for your future.
You will receive a new laptop when you arrive at Morningside through our Technology program, then receive a new one after two years that you can take with you following graduation.
Utilize academic support including disability services, Writing Center, tutoring, one-on-one advising, and mentoring.
Enjoy experiential learning opportunities that act as a guide for your future. Study abroad, travel or learn something new during May Term, be part of our nationally regarded athletics program, take part in student clubs and organizations, or participate in a wide variety of other events and activities.
Enroll with the knowledge that this is a close-knit community where your professors and the campus community get to know you well and stand ready to help you. You are investing in Morningside, and we make every effort to invest in you.
Take advantage of our exceptional Career Services programming including workshops, resume assistance, and other career planning. Graduates of Morningside receive these services for the rest of your life.

Denison to Mside U Scholars Program Requirements

To qualify for the Denison to Mside U Scholars Program, you must:

Attend or be a graduate (2023 or after) of Denison High School
Complete the FAFSA and qualify for the Federal Pell Grant*
Be admitted to Morningside University

If you meet these requirements, you will receive:

$35,000/year if you are an on-campus or resident student**

*Not sure if you are Pell-eligible? The Morningside University Office of Financial Planning encourages you to complete the FAFSA to find out. Not only will completing the FAFSA help you determine if you are Pell-eligible, but it can also open the door to a variety of other financial aid options. If you have questions or require assistance with this process, please contact them here.

**Students who take part in this program will be required to complete the FAFSA each year. Should you no longer qualify for the Pell grant during that time, the amount of the Federal Pell Grant, Pell Enhancement Grant, and SEOG Grant would be reduced from this amount.
