FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Homestays. Normally two or three Morningside students will live in a home with local residents and students share a double room or are in a single room. You are provided two meals a day (lunch and dinner). Laundry and wifi are included.

Yes. You will be released from paying your normal health services fee and activity fees at Morningside during that semester.

Yes. You must be registered for at least 12 credit hours while in Barcelona to maintain full-time status as a student.

Yes! This program qualifies as a May Term and you will receive four extra credits.”

All classes are taught at IES Abroad, an internationally-recognized study abroad institute in central Barcelona.

The IES Abroad Center is where highly trained local staff provide on-the-ground support throughout your time abroad. This six-story building contains modern classrooms as well as ample study and social space.

The IES Abroad Center is located in the heart of Barcelona, just off Plaza Catalunya. Whether you’re taking a stroll by the Arco de Triumfo, or studying at a nearby café, the Center is your study abroad hub.
