PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Clinical Nurse Leader track Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Morningside University prepares you to become a clinical nurse generalist able to work in all patient health care delivery settings. The role may vary depending upon the setting and patient population. This track is perfect for nurses wanting to advance nursing knowledge to serve in many roles such as a clinical nurse leader; team leader; nurse educator, both in practice and academia; quality improvement; research utilization; patient care coordinator; nurse clinician; management; and many other leadership roles.

Additional Program Details

The Clinical Nurse Leader track MSN degree from the Morningside University Nylen School of Nursing consists of 38 total credit hours, including 22 credits from master’s core classes and 16 CNL specialty course credits. Students in this track will complete 500 clinical/practicum hours along with one on-site residency. The curriculum prepares graduates to be eligible for national certification as a Clinical Nurse Leader through the Commission on Nurse Certification (CNC). Plans of study can be temporary and are subject to change based on availability and enrollment.
