Do I need to be admitted to Morningside’s graduate program before I take a course from an educational partner?
No, you do not need to be an admitted student. Receipt of credit from Morningside College does not constitute admission to the graduate program.
Can I use Morningside University credits in a graduate program at Morningside?
You may be able to use these graduate credits as elective credits in a master’s degree program at Morningside College; however, they cannot be used towards an endorsement. Any student admitted to the master’s degree program after November 1, 2014, will be able to apply up to eight graduate credits from all partners toward their master’s degree program.
Can I transfer Morningside University credits into my graduate program at another institution?
To determine whether these credits can be used in endorsement/degree programs, please contact your institution.
How do I enroll in partner courses?
Contact the partner of your choice and enroll directly with them, but be sure to request credit from the Graduate Program in Education at Morningside College. Once a partner course has been completed the grade will be sent directly to Morningside. It can take approximately three weeks for the course to be reflected on your Morningside transcript.
How long will it take to complete each course? Can I complete them at my own pace?
Varies. Please refer to the educational partner.
Will tuition for these credits be eligible for financial aid?
These courses do not qualify for financial aid or loan deferment through Morningside University.
How are the credits issued? Will I receive a letter grade for the credits?
Morningside University issues semester credit hours. All credits earned through Morningside for education partner courses are issued with letter grades and a course number of EDUC 500. The grades will appear on your transcript based on the date the course ends.
