Morningside University is seeking a full-time Housekeeper that typically works from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  The ideal candidate would be careful and thorough in their work, have an eye for detail, focus on building upkeep and take great care and pride in keeping areas clean and tidy.

Responsibilities:

• Thoroughness and commitment to ensure the area is ready for the next day, including taking out trash, tidying, and general cleaning.
• Sweeping and mopping floors, as well as vacuuming carpets.
• Daily cleaning and sanitizing of bathroom facilities.
• Cleaning mirrors and windows.
• Undertake occasional seasonal tasks, such as shoveling snow.

Qualifications:

• A high School diploma is required
• Solid working knowledge of cleaning equipment and procedures.
• Work experience as a custodian, housekeeper, or similar role.
• Detail-oriented and conscientiousness.
• Good stamina and have physical strength to lift 40 lbs.
• Ability to work well with faculty, administrators and others.
