Head Esports Coach

Morningside University, a NAIA institution, is accepting applications for a Head Esports Coach. This person is responsible for directing and managing all aspects of the Esports program.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and grow student-athletes
  • Year-round recruitment of talented student-athletes; actively making contacts through phone calls, traveling to games, school visits, home visits, using social media, etc.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and evaluate all aspects of the Esports program
  • Enhance and monitor the educational opportunities for student-athletes in the Esports program
  • Promote positive image of Esports program and represent the College in a positive manner
  • Build trusting relationships with athletes and serve as a positive role model
  • Construct goals for the Esports program, expectations and responsibilities of the team members and policies
  • Schedule one-on-one meetings with team members throughout the year
  • Team marketing; website content, promotional events, community service, newsletter, etc.
  • Oversee and manage yearly and long-term budget
  • Monitor expenditure of funds
  • Prepare and submit budgetary requestions on a timely basis
  • Provide each student athlete with a positive, meaningful educational experience through athletics

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Excellent communication and strategies planning skills
  • Ability to work effectively with numerous constituencies in the university environment and beyond
  • Strong motivation and organizational skills
