Admissions Counselor

Morningside University is now accepting applications for the full-time position of Admissions Counselor to join our hardworking, dynamic, and supportive team. This position will afford you the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others while building a robust skill set in marketing/sales, territory management, time management, public speaking, and relationship building. The Admissions Counselor is responsible for effectively managing the inquiries and applications in an assigned territory while working with the admissions team in achieving the student recruitment and enrollment objectives for the university. The Admissions Counselor will provide information and guidance to prospective students and their families about Morningside University programs, student life, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Understand the philosophy or mission of the institution and how it influences the recruitment of students.
  • Build relationships with prospective students and parents while continually researching and monitoring territory activity through engagement with moves management.
  • Develop and maintain a travel schedule pertaining to college fairs and high school visits.
  • Continually evaluate applicants and effectively manage the day-to day activity in assigned territory.
  • Assist in facilitating all on and off campus events.
  • Responsible for representing Morningside University with integrity and respect to both internal and external publics.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Must be willing to maintain a flexible schedule which includes some evening hours for phone calls.
  • Must have superior interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and Power Point)
