Rosenbaum earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of South Dakota School of Law, a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Dakota School of Business, a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Briar Cliff University. She has held the Certified Public Accountant designation since 1983. She has held the additional designation of Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) since February 2018. She recently earned the professional designation of Certified Management Accountant (CMA) in March 2022. Rosenbaum joined Morningside College in 2003.  Prior to her teaching experience, she has 20 years of experience in both public and private accounting and business, including extensive experience in regulatory reporting and corporate mergers. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Institute of Management Accountants, and the American Association of Accountants.

In addition, she also serves on the following four state professional CPA committees:  the Iowa Society of CPAs Career Awareness Committee (since 2016), the Iowa CPA Education Foundation Committee (since 2017), the Iowa Society of CPAs Community Service Committee (since 2017), and she serves as the Vice President of Engagement on the Board of the Des Moines chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants.  State professional committee work has elevated our accounting program such that our Morningside students are highly sought after for employment following graduation by CPA firms, governmental agencies and in industry across the state.
