Shar Georgesen has a PhD and a Masters in Nursing from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a baccalaureate degree in nursing from Augustana University in Sioux Falls. She worked in maternal-child health as a staff nurse and a nurse leader for 15 years before coming to Morningside. She has taught in nursing education for more than 20 years.
