Mark O’Connell serves as the Director for Donor Relations in institutional advancement. He has responsibilities in fundraising efforts at Morningside, including meeting with donors, student Telethon, business campaign, and any activities that help further people’s philanthropic desires.
Mark is a 1985 Morningside alumna and during his time as a student he studied Business Administration and Industrial Psychology and participated in many activities such as choral music, resident advisor, Psi Chi, and Commons Board of Control. He enjoyed a long career in the call center industry and started working at Morningside in 2016 as the assistant director of the annual scholarship fund. His favorite part of the job is listening to stories about how Morningside impacted the lives of its alumni and friends.
O’Connell is a Oto, IA native and enjoys being involved in his church, music, his family’s farm and spending time with his large family, especially his son, Matthew who is also a Morningside alum.
