Dr. Rajasekar is an Associate Professor of Management. His specialization is Strategic Management and International Business. He brings over three decades of rich experience encompassing teaching, research, training, and consulting from three countries.
Dr. Rajasekar’s academic journey includes numerous accolades for teaching excellence and scholarly contributions. Notably, he was honored with the ‘Best Paper Award’ from Emerald Insight in 2010 for his research on Strategic Alliances in the Airline Industry. His research interests span a wide array of topics such as competitive strategy, strategic alliances, culture’s impact on competitiveness, cross-cultural management, leadership, globalization of Asian companies, and more recently, the influence of national culture on entrepreneurial startups and diversified firm strategies. He also received the ‘Best Teacher’ Award several times.
He has authored and published extensively, contributing significantly to the academic literature. His edited volume, ‘Culture and Gender in Leadership: Perspectives from the Middle East and Asia,’ published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2013, is a testament to his scholarly achievements. He also published papers top tier journals like JIBS, JBR, RIBS, and IASR.
Dr. Rajasekar is actively engaged in the academic community, presenting papers at national and international conferences and serving as a session chair in several instances. He has also contributed as a Country Coordinator for India in the GLOBE Project – Phase III, underscoring his commitment to global research collaborations.
Beyond his academic pursuits, Dr. Rajasekar plays a pivotal role in the scholarly ecosystem as an Editor/Managing Editor and a member of editorial boards for various prestigious international journals. He also diligently reviews articles for these journals, ensuring the rigor and quality of academic publications in his field.
