Dave Madsen came to Morningside in 2009 with 30+ years of commercial television experience in station management, programming, promotion, production, news, engineering and sales. He is the faculty advisor for MCTV, the student-run television channel, and KMSC, the student-run radio station. He is a member of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication, the Broadcast Education Association, the College Media Association, and he is past president of the Iowa College Media Association and Iowa Broadcasters Association. His BA in Journalism is from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (1976) and his MA in Mass Communication is also from UNL (2013).
