Morningside wrapped up its first season of varsity bowling competition at the GPAC Invitational held March 1 and 2 at Thirty Bowl Lanes in Fremont, Neb.

Jesse Nissen finished 24th in the men’s division with a three-game series of 541. Tyler Lane was 28th with a 520, Lehi Tonga was 33rd with a 482, and Austin Naylor was 34th with a 477.

Naylor had the Mustangs’ top single game score with a 203.

Christina Gallegos had a 357 to finish 21st in the women’s division.

Nissen and Naylor led the Mustangs in the doubles competition by combining for a score of 1,027.

Nissen finished 26th in the men’s masters with a six-game total of 1,053 pins. Naylor was 31st with a 992, Lane was 34th with a 965, and Tonga was 36th with a 931.

Naylor rolled a 211 during the master’s competition for the Mustangs’ top score of the tournament.
