Ashlynn Muhl was named to the second team of the 2014 NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball National Championship All-Tournament Team.

Ashlynn Muhl, a 6-0 junior forward from Minneota, Minn., was named to the second team of the 2014 NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball National Championship All-Tournament Team.

Muhl averaged 16.7 points and 10.3 rebounds per game and had two double-doubles in the Mustangs’ three national tournament contests. She made 20 of 31 field goal attempts for 64.5 percent in the three games.

Muhl led the Mustangs with 17 points and a game-high 10 rebounds in their opening round 83-52 victory against Point Park University. She had 11 points and a team-high nine rebounds in Morningside’s 78-70 second round triumph against College of Saint Mary and a team-high 22 points and 10 rebounds in an 82-71 loss against Cardinal Stritch University in the quarterfinals. The 22 points against Cardinal Stritch was Muhl’s top scoring performance of the season.
