Tyson Foods Intern: Melanie Enloe

Meet Melanie Enloe! Melanie is a senior counseling psychology major from Ottumwa, Iowa. Melanie is involved in Gender Undone, Morningside Telethon, Psychology Department Peer Mentors, and she is also a Tyson Foods Summer Community Intern with Haven House Family Service Center.

At Haven House, Melanie assists advocates with supporting survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. Melanie’s work impacts the community by helping survivors find their place by offering the shelter, support, and resources they need to get back on their feet. Overall, she enjoys communicating and bonding with survivors in order to help support them.

Melanie decided to attend Morningside College because of the friendly and supportive atmosphere as well as the numerous scholarship opportunities. Melanie’s favorite Morningside memory is singing a duet with her best friend during a 10-day College Choir trip to Japan. After graduation, Melanie hopes to gain some experience in the counseling psychology field before continue her education at graduate school.
