Agricultural and Food Studies major

What made you decide to transfer to Morningside?

What made me decide to transfer to Morningside is the fact that I am thirty minutes from home. That was my number one goal in finding my next school. Another thing that got me hooked was how everything involving Morningside has a close-knit, family like feeling. classes are from 10-20 students, which makes interacting a lot easier.

What do you love most about your major?

What I love most about the Ag Department is how flexible and how willing they are to work with you if you are stuck or do not know something. It is such a close-knit environment that it feels like you are a part of a family.

What’s your best Morningside experience so far?

My best Morningside experience so far is just being able to wake up every day and go to classes with some of the nation’s best professors and power my knowledge day in and day out.

What’s your dream job after college?

I plan to work for either a marketing team dealing with the buying and selling of cattle for 5-10 years and then going back to the family farm to expand and keep it going!

Advice to potential Morningside transfer students?

I would tell the student that is thinking about transferring that Morningside has great career options and is a very opportunistic campus with everything that is going on!

What are you doing when you’re not in class?

I am on the baseball team here at Morningside and have decided that I want to give Ag club a shot. I love meeting new people!

Where’s your favorite place to be on Campus?

My favorite place on campus to be at is either in Allee watching basketball or volleyball, or at the football field cheering on the football team. Being in baseball, it is great to support the other sport teams on campus to gain interest from them to come to our games!
